Tom Ackerman

Education: B.S. degree in Recreational Leadership.

Coach Ackerman is entering his 25th year at Greenville University, 2023 will be his 22nd year as head coach. Coach Ackerman was voted Coach of the Year in 2002, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2022. Ackerman has led his team to the SLIAC regular season championship 12 times. The Panthers have been in the conference tournament the last 18 years. 7 of Ackerman’s teams have earned the right to play in the NCAA National tournament including his fall 2021 squad. 

Ackerman has trained internationally with coaches and players from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Spain, and Mexico.

Coaching at every level from elementary to college, as well as both girls and boys, has given him valuable experience. As the PVA Club Director Ackerman continues to educate players, coaches, and parents about the sport of volleyball.
