Camp Director Tom Ackerman
Year Started at Greenville: 1997
Education: B.S. degree in Recreational Leadership.

Experience: Coach Ackerman is entering his 16th year at Greenville College. 2012 will be his 11th year as head coach. Coach Ackerman was voted Coach of the Year in 2002, 2008 and most recently in 2010 after leading his team to their first ever SLIAC regular season and tournament championship. Ackerman has taken the Panthers to the conference tournament the last 6 years and the 2010 team earned the right to play in the NCAA National tournament, which was a first for the program. This past season Coach Ackerman’s team repeated as conference champions and made it to the SLIAC tournament championship for the 3rd consecutive year. Ackerman has trained internationally with coaches and players from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Mexico.

Coaching at every level from elementary to college, as well as both girls and boys, has given him valuable experience. As club director of Gravity Volleyball Club Ackerman continues to educate players, coaches, and parents about the sport of volleyball.


Christy Dashiell
Assistant Camp Director
Year Started at Greenville: 2010
Education: B.S. degree in Communication: Public Relations 
Experience: Coach Dashiell is entering her 3rd year as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Greenville College. She was a standout player for her high school team in the state of Washington before attending Greenville College. During her College years Christy was a captain both her junior and senior year and led her team to the conference tournament both years. Christy has spent time training internationally in Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Mexico. She has coached for Gravity volleyball club and has given clinics at several local high schools.
